DAY 1: Silversonic Snorkel & Cruise

A day all about discovery and being in the water! You’ll explore three different Agincourt ribbon reef sites, each chosen for visual and ecological diversity when you travel with the modern 29 meter catamaran, Silversonic. This vessel is custom-designed for small groups of adventure-minded people to revel in the thrill of diving and snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef.

Spend over 5 hours at the reef for unlimited adventure snorkelling, with the option (additional costs apply) of introductory and certified diving.

Silversonic features everything you’ll need to experience an underwater world of colourful marine life in safety and comfort including a state-of-the-art ride control system ensuring a super smooth journey, hydraulic dive and snorkel platforms for easy water access, spacious deck areas, hot freshwater showers, change rooms and even a licensed bar to share tales of your adventure.

DAY 2: Barron River Rafting  - Half Day

Tour Operator: Foaming Fury

Foaming Fury will take you to the beautiful Barron Gorge National Park, 40 minutes from Port Douglas, for a fantastic introduction to white water rafting on the Barron River. It's fun, exciting and exhilarating, and no experience is necessary. You’ll have two hours paddling up to grade 3 rapids on this exciting adventure. 

Your half day white water rafting tour, takes place on the on the ebb and flow of the Barron River, as it snakes its way down from the mountains and heads out to the Coral Sea. Barron Gorge National Park is known for its rugged rainforest mountains, steep ravines, the Barron Falls and Barron Gorge, which has been carved out over thousands of years by the Barron River.

This is a scenic rafting and rainforest adventure which combines calm water floating with a series of white water rapids for adventure and action. Rafts carry up to seven passengers plus your river guide. 

Your Barron River Rafting Half Day includes:

  • Return transfers from Port Douglas accommodation 
  • 2 Hours White Water Rafting in up to grade 3 rapids
  • All tuition and safety equipment provided
  • Professional and certified River Guides
  • Rafting in the Barron Gorge National Park (stunning rainforest). 

Tour departs Port Douglas at approx 1:15pm and returns at 6:30pm

What to bring:  Your ticket and payment for rafting levy, swimming costume under your clothes, towel, secure footwear that will get wet, change of clothes, sunscreen, money for souvenir photos or snacks. Leave jewelry and valuables at your accommodation. Waterproof shoes are available to hire.

*EMCA Government Environmental Management Charge of $6.50 is levied for all adults and children 4 years and over entering the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area. This charge is included in the total price.

**Rafting levy: River rafting levy of $30 per person is payable direct to Foaming Fury on the day of travel.


General Conditions

  • Foaming Fury: Minimum age for rafting is 12 years. Under 18 must travel with a guardian or parent. All participants must complete a liability waiver prior to commencing rafting.  Some medical conditions may preclude you from rafting and is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant.
  • Children: 4 -14 years; Children 3 years and under cruise for free.
  • Minimum age for scuba diving is 12 years. Medical conditions apply.
  • All schedules, activities and prices may be varied without notice.
  • Listed fares in Australian dollars include Goods and Services Tax. Prices valid to 31 March 2019.
