DAY 1: Poseidon (Snorkel & Cruise)

Poseidon will take you on a journey of discovery with a personalised snorkel and dive adventure to experience 3 different reef sites at the renowned Agincourt ribboPoseidon Cruises Reef Packagen reefs. Agincourt Reef’s clear outer reef waters, incredible array of marine life and beautiful corals, showcases one of the most spectacular environments in the entire Great Barrier Reef.

You will be able to enjoy unlimited snorkelling in this marine wilderness. Certified divers have the opportunity to dive at each of the 3 sites which are selected daily from Poseidon’s 30 exclusive reef sites at the Agincourt ribbon reefs and Escape Reef, providing some of the very best day boat diving.

An added bonus during whale season, Poseidon also has a special permit to swim with dwarf minke whales if encountered, a magical experience.

DAY 2: Daintree Cape Tribulation Tour

Travel in air-conditioned comfort in one of Down Under Tours’ luxury purpose built vehicles to Cape Tribulation, through World Heritage listed Daintree and Cape Tribulation National Park. Included is a Daintree River cruise, tropical lunch set amongst the rainforest and a walk on the famous Cape Tribulation beach, named by Captain James Cook in 1770. Enjoy an indigenous presentation and a driver/guided tour at the Mossman Gorge Centre before the homeward journey.

On the one-hour Daintree River Cruise, learn about this wildlife environment, habitat of birds, tree snakes, unique plants and of course the estuarine crocodile. At the Alexandra Lookout enjoy spectacular views over the Daintree River estuary, Snapper Island and beyond to the Coral Sea. Tropical Lunch is served at a private rainforest property. Here you can also take a short walk along a rainforest creek.

At Cape Tribulation, take a walk on this world-renowned rainforest beach and admire the coastline and fringing coral reef from the Kulki Lookout. The Mossman Gorge Centre highlights include an indigenous presentation by the traditional owners of the gorge, the Kuku Yalanji people, before boarding your eco shuttle for the transfer into Mossman Gorge. Your driver guide will take you for a guided walk, sharing knowledge and secrets of this enchanting environment, one of the world’s oldest rainforests.

A Government Environmental Management Charge of $7.00 is levied for all adults and children 4 years and over entering the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area. This charge is included in the total price and is payable by passengers on the day of travel.
