2 Day Low Isles & Cape Tribulation

2 Day Low Isles & Cape Tribulation

With this fantastic Great Barrier Reef island and rainforest combination, you'll experience a day of relaxation on the idyllic Low Isles followed by a day exploring Cape Tribulation in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest.

DAY 1: Wavedancer Low Isles Cruise

Tour Operator: Quicksilver Cruises

Set like a jewel in the Great Barrier Reef, Low Isles is an idyllic, unspoiled coral cay island – a tropical island paradise. Combined with the romance of sailing aboard Quicksilver’s beautiful 30 metre sailing catamaran, Wavedancer, this is the perfect day for families and couples seeking island relaxation.

From the moment Wavedancer moors in the calm waters of the island’s picturesque lagoon, a host of reef activities await. This is a leisurely, informative day where island visitor numbers are limited. Discover the mysteries of marine life while snorkelling or glass bottom boat viewing. The corals are very close to the island which makes snorkelling an easy and enjoyable experience. Low Isles is also home to a thriving sea turtle population. The marine biologist will take you on a guided beach walk and snorkel tour to learn so much more about this very special Great Barrier Reef island. Or if you prefer, just relax under a beach umbrella or on the spacious decks of Wavedancer.

Lunch is served on board Wavedancer and a regular shuttle vessel transfers guests between the boat and the island throughout the day.

Low Isles, along with its historic old lighthouse, are registered on the Commonwealth Heritage List in recognition of their place in Australia’s cultural and Indigenous heritage. The lighthouse was erected in 1878, and while now automated, it still is a landmark greeting guests to the island.
