This is an exciting tour combination as you visit Michaelmas Cay on the Great Barrier Reef followed by a day exploring the ancient Daintree Rainforest, take a river cruise and see the amazing landscapes of the Cape Tribulation wilderness area.
DAY 1: Ocean Spirit Michaelmas Cay Cruise

Departing daily from Cairns, 32m luxury sailing catamaran, Ocean Spirit, sets sail for a day to remember at picturesque Michaelmas Cay. Encircled by a spectacular fringing reef teeming with colourful marine life, it is also a bird lover’s delight and an important protected sanctuary for migratory birds.
Snorkel directly from the beach in the cay’s protected shallow waters, cruise in the semi-submersible for a diver’s view of the reef, watch the fish feeding presentation and discover the fascinating island birdlife. For the more adventurous, you can experience the underwater delights of the reef with an exciting introductory scuba dive or take a guided snorkel tour with the marine biologist. Or if you prefer just relax on the beach or soak up the tropical atmosphere under the sails and enjoy a leisurely day on the Great Barrier Reef.

DAY 2: Cape Tribulation

Travel in air-conditioned comfort in one of Down Under Tours' luxury purpose build vehicles to Cape Tribulation, through World Heritage listed Daintree and Cape Tribulation National Park. Included is a Daintree River cruise, tropical lunch set amongst the rainforest and a walk on the famous Cape Tribulation beach, named by Captain James Cook in 1770. Enjoy an Indigenous presentation and a driver/guided tour at the Mossman Gorge Centre before the homeward journey.
On the one-hour Daintree River Cruise, learn about this wildlife environment, habitat of birds, tree snakes, unique plants and of course the estuarine crocodile. At the Alexandra Lookout enjoy spectacular views over the Daintree River estuary, Snapper Island and beyond to the Coral Sea. Tropical Lunch is served at a private rainforest property. Here you can also take a short walk along a rainforest creek.
At Cape Tribulation, take a walk on this world-renowned rainforest beach and admire the coastline and fringing coral reef from the Kulki Lookout. The Mossman Gorge Centre highlights include an Indigenous presentation by the traditional owners of the Gorge, the Kuku Yalanji people, before boarding your eco shuttle for the transfer into Mossman Gorge. Your driver guide will take you for a guided walk, sharing knowledge and secrets of this enchanting environment, one of the world's oldest rainforests.
